Re: True Blood on HBO
I swear I almost cried when they said there was only 3 episodes left!
I knew we would find out tonight that Sam was the dog.
Everything about the show tonight was awesome! Even how Long Shadow died! I noticed they finally made Pam a little more like herself when she came on to Sookie too. Remember in the book, Pam likes women.
The whole Judaical thing with Bill was NOT in the book, and while I "know" what's going to happen, due to spoiler's, I will be as surprised as anyone with exactly how it unfolds.
I don't really like how they are making Eric look. They are making him out to be a total arsehole, and while he is indeed an arsehole, he has a very soft spot for Sookie from the beginning.
Anyways, YEA for the show tonight I was 100% pleased!

Re: True Blood on HBO
There is no doubt about it that the last few shows have really picked up steam. Everything is moving at a pretty quick clip. There have been certain things I wish they would have explained more for those that haven't read the books, but all in all I give it a 12 out of a possible 10.
There wasn't near enough Lafayette in this last one. And just let me say, I nearly died laughing when I heard my husband making gagging sounds when Lafayette kissed the Vampire in the last one.

Re: True Blood on HBO
YouTube - True Blood - Episode 10 Preview
From an Alan Ball Interview...
How closely are you going to adhere to the books, for the duration of the series?
Alan> We stuck really, really close to the first book. The first book is the basis for the first season, although by Episode 11 and 12, we started to veer into Book Two, just to set things up for the next season. We’re going to stick to the Sookie and Bill story very closely, and then we’re going to experiment with the other characters, but it’s going to remain very true to the spirit of Charlaine’s world.
