Matt Roush over at TV Guide talks TB and the future. Nothing as far as concrete spoilers but it does sort of have books stuff so it was too spoilery for the regular board
Question: I am totally addicted to HBO's True Blood and loving every moment of it. After the show started, I read a bunch of the Charlaine Harris books, and I see that Alan Ball is following an outline of the events in the book but fleshing out the characters, particularly the intensity of the love story between Sookie and Bill. Ball and Stephen Moyer have made Bill much more "human," and we are all falling in love with him. I think Ball is making the story much more enjoyable than the books. The problem I see is this: As the books proceed, Bill is basically phased out as Sookie moves onto other "boyfriends" from the supernatural world. I am hoping that Alan Ball won't do that to Stephen Moyer's Bill. I'm sure there are lots of fans of the show that want Bill and Sookie to be together for "eternity." According to many websites, fans are coming back each week for their love story. — Lori
Matt Roush: Funny how you bring up addiction, since that's another undercurrent to the show (Jason getting hooked on V-juice) that Alan Ball has played up more than it is in the books (at least in those I've read so far). What I'm hoping is that True Blood will go the path of Dexter, and after producing a first season that follows the introductory book fairly closely (but by no means with slavish devotion), it will then chart its own path and use the world Charlaine Harris created to tell its own stories. I can't imagine, given the chemistry between Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, that the show will do anything to diminish that in seasons to come. At the same time, tempting Sookie with other supernatural diversions could provide a source of juicy conflict. I'm also hoping that the show stays closer to Bon Temps than the next few books did (which took her and Bill to Dallas and Jackson, Mississippi).

First image is Sam saying that two years ago no one had ever even heard of a vampire and who knows what else is out there
Bill is opening his door to Eric, Pam, and Chow
Then there are two women I have never seen before. It looks like one of the women is forcibly dragging the other women against her will
Bill is standing outside in his jacket and him and Sookie are touching foreheads and Sookie is saying "you told me me everything is going to be OK, but it's not is it?"
The next image is Bill walking away backwards and Sookie clinging to his hand. Bill says he has to go and Sookie is crying, watching him leave
Eric is telling Bill that he (Bill) loves Sookie and Bill is saying that Sookie must be protected
Sookie is saying "there is a killer out there trying to hunt me down"
Sookie is flipping on a light in a room and the walls are covered in blood she screams
Lafayette is screaming at Jason about how dead people are piling up around him
Sam is cocking a rifle, next shot he is stading out side and Andy is speaking in the background asking about Sam's life before the women started getting killed.
Amy and Jason are splattered in blood and Amy is telling Jason that he knew it was going to end like this and that the vampire would have killed them
Bill is breaking off a draft lever (the lever bartenders use to dispense draft beer) to use as a stake and starts charging
Bill is standing before a judge and Eric is there. The judge tells Bill he has broken an ancient fundamental law and he owes the court a life
Sookie is running in a white dress
Amy is charging with a broken off piece of wood and it looks like she intends to use as a stake
Tara outside holding up a knife or screwdriver and looking at it in shock and disgust. It looks like blood may be dripping off of it.
Bill telling Sookie "if you knew what I had done to return to you" Sookie cuts him off and yells at him to get out and slams the door in his face
Someone is attacking Sookie and trying to choke her
Either Amy or Jason is lifting the chain mail off the vampire Eddy's face
Tara is drinking a bottle of hard liquor and driving
Jason is fighting someone
Eric gets in the face of a Merlotte's customer
Sam and Bill get in a fist fight
Someone is sitting outside kneeling on the ground, hair is covering her face, and she is screaming. I think it's the girl (Jessica) from earlier in the preview that was being dragged by the other woman I do not recognize.
Voice over of the word human and then a shot of Eric saying "honestly Bill I don't know what you see in them"
I am thirsty for some scoop on my new addiction: True Blood. - Andrea
Mickey: First, let me ask you a question. Do you have any idea who the killer might be? There are a lot of suspects, but not a whole lot of clues. Or are there? Leave your best guess in the comments section below, and look for my "Who's the Killer?" piece later in the week. In the meantime, remember how that voodoo priestess said Tara had her own demon to conquer? Well, she'll get cracking on that - with the help of a most unusual benefactor (who, of course, has a secret) but also a creepy butler who ain't talkin'!
Penny, don't take this the wrong way, but I just think of you as being so very sweet that it's hard for me to wrap my head around you liking this type of show!
I'm really glad you do though, as it gives us something to talk about!!
I'll keep searching for spoiler's. I love this show, it has became my favorite, even over Dexter which I thought would be hard to do.
LOL Kim - I was away last week and am still catching up and noticed your post. I have always had a thing for vampires - and I am totally hooked on this show! I will admit to blushing a little while watching but I just cannot turn away! Cannot wait for this Sunday! Have to say tho - Bill coming out of the ground like that and Sookie's reaction was somewhat disturbing but like I said I could not look away - LOL!

Yea, it was a little disturbing. I liked the bathtub scene way better then the dirty cemetery sex.
