I LOVE Monk! Have even been called a Monk myself at times, but I'm not nearly as afraid of germs as he is. Tony Shalhoub is great.

I think they did a good job choosing a new actor for his psychiatrist. Of course there's no replacing the man who played Dr. Kroger.

I love the Monk I didn't realize you brought the thread over six..TY...I love that they explained where Dr Kroger was and what happened to him I like the replacement and am having a hard time putting him somewhere..what did he play on before...any help ladies..
The Brad Garrett part was hysterical he just can't pull off mean and ugly....I waited for Raymond to pop out or something...LOL!!!

Hector Elizondo plays the psychiatrist. He's been in so many movies, but one that pops into my head is Pretty Woman. Played the hotel manager. Yeah, he's a good replacement, but I miss Stanley Kamel a lot.

I miss Stanley Kamel too, but they did a very nice transition. Hector Elizondo is fabulous no matter what he is in. He was a wise choice. |

I remember Hector Elizondo mostly from a medical show that was on years ago called Chicago Hope and most recently he was on Cane the show that they unfortunately canceled that starred Jimmy Smits. Hector is a great actor and I have seen him as a character actor in many TV shows and movies and I do think he was a great choice to play Monk's doctor but like the rest of you I will miss Stanley Kamel as well.
By the way, I love Monk and always look forward to the new shows.
