This is turning out to be a great season. I love crazy Dave and the actor that plays Dave creeps me out he is nailing scary crazy guy. I loved that Bree may have met her match with her future in law LOL I was laughing out loud last night when she was trying to deal with her.

Sort of a weird show on Sunday but I enjoyed it. It sort of was a break from the ongoing sl's. I enjoyed seeing Mary Alice again and a look back at how things were. I just wish we did not have to wait 3 weeks now to see another new show. I wonder why they are taking such a long break, they just returned form the holidays!

I agree, 3 weeks is a very long time!

January 25 A rerun of "Kids Ain't Like Everybody Else" airs at 10 (9 Central).

February 1 Super Bowl Sunday. Desperate Housewives will be preempted by Wipeout.

February 7 A rerun of "The Best Thing That Ever Could Have Happened" airs at 10 (9 Central).

5-14 (Episode 101) "Mama Spent Money When She Had None" February 8
Written by Jason Ganzel; directed by David Warren

Susan wants to send MJ to the best school, though she and Mike can't afford it. We'll meet the school's headmaster.

We'll also meet Bree's book publisher. Bree's well on her way to becoming the next Martha Stewart... She's so successful she decides to buy a new car.

The Scavos decide to sell Tom's Mustang. One of the Scavos argues with their liquor distributor over an unpaid bill. Will Bree buy a share of the restaurant?

Can Gabrielle squeeze into the dress she wore when she became engaged? Probably not right away, as she and Edie attend a fitness boot camp together.

Lee (Kevin Rahm) doesn't know whether he should tell Tom and Lynette some disturbing facts about Dave. Bob (Tuc Watkins) also appears. Tom hits Dave.

5-15 (Episode 102) February 15

Carlos's boss is cheating on his wife.

The Scavos face a rent increase for their restaurant that they might not be able to afford.

Can a man get info on his wife's bank account? Not without the password.

February 22 The show is pre-empted by the Academy Awards.

March 1 Reportedly, a 2 hour episode of Brothers & Sisters will air that night, pre-empting Desperate Housewives.

5-16 (Episode 103) March 8 (probably)

Gabrielle tries to talk to Carlos' boss' mistress, but has trouble doing so: the mistress is a hairdresser, and Gaby lacks an appointment. Gabrielle tells the mistress to end the relationship.

The Scavos hold a fire sale, as they've sold their restaurant. At a dinner party, a book publisher interviews Tom. Will Tom take the job? Or will Lynette?

A priest recognizes Dave at a liquor store, which will not make Dave happy.

March sweeps

This season, sweeps are in March instead of February. Sundays during March sweeps include March 8, 15, 22, and 29. New episodes on those dates are likely.

May sweeps

This season, Sundays during "May" sweeps include April 26, and May 3, 10, and 17. (I know what you're thinking: isn't it crazy to begin sweeps so soon after the last sweeps? And isn't it crazy to call it "May sweeps" when they take up the last week of April? The answer to both those questions is "yes.") New episodes on those dates are likely.

General season 5 spoilers

Dave draws someone else on Wisteria Lane into his revenge plot against Mike.

Marc Cherry has an idea for a past character who may return this season: it's either Felicia, Zach, Paul, or Betty.

Season 5 will have 24 episodes.

Other spoilers

The show is now expected to run through season 9. In other words, the show might sign off in May of 2013. DH creator Marc Cherry has talked before about wanting to do a series called Vicious Cheerleaders but with DH possibly running two years beyond his previous expectations of seven years, who knows if Vicious Cheerleaders will ever see the light of day.

Gabrielle's stepfather (who molested her as a teenager) was supposed to show up last season, but the strike put that on hold. He'll show up eventually, possibly this season.

Remember how in season three of Desperate Housewives all Tom Scavo dreamed of was starting a pizza restaurant and how reluctant Lynette was? Well, now that he's had it for years, Tom has a new dream: to sell it.
According to TV Guide, once they sell the pizzeria, Lynette will then have a new dream: for her husband to get back into the advertising industry. Guess the grass is always greener.

Lynette always has something to gripe about, but I have to agree that the advertising biz would be more interesting than running a pizza place. I'm just happy that Gabi will be glammed up again. She and Carlos are my faves. Susan is good, too. Oh, they're all good in their own way, of course.

you're right they're all great in their own way. What I love about this show is that there is always something going on, things are always changing and moving forward. Keeps my interest unlike some other shows I won't mention

Desperate Housewives Cast Christopher Rich

Desperate Housewives has cast Christopher Rich for the role of Bree Van de Kamp's new publsher. Christopher Guest is best known for his role as Reba's husband on the now defunct CW show, Reba.

Oh but that wouldn't be juicy enough for Desperate Housewives. The word on the street (and by that we mean by Matt Mitovich's Mega Minute) is that this new publisher is going to have an impact on a certain desperate husband.

Desperate Housewives Spoilers: Katherine and Mike Moving In Together

Posted on January 28th, 2009 10:59 AM by Barney

Dana Delany of Desperate Housewives recently spoke to Michael Ausiello and gave him the scoop on some upcoming episodes of Housewives.
According to Delany, "Katherine and Mike are going to move in together. That's huge. We have shot a few episodes of cohabitation already, and it has been a tremendous amount of fun." Delany goes on to remind us, "Fans of the show since the beginning will remember that Mike used to live in the house that I live in now in, so it is a sort of homecoming for him."
Delany warns us though, "But like all things on Wisteria Lane, it will have its own set of challenges. We aren't going to be living in complete bliss. Susan has issues, for one. And Dave is still around trying to get revenge."
