I heard it won't be back until Feb. I am having major Sawyer withdrawals.

Feb., WHAT! Please tell me that's not true! I miss my Sawyer too LOL!

I'm pretty sure. Also heard there will be no flashbacks or flashforwards this season. Which I think will be stange at first.

2 new characters are coming in for Season 5
First up is Caesar, a dangerous, physical and extremely intelligent male between the ages of 35 and 45. Although his intentions are unclear, this much is certain: He's as skillful at charming people as he is at killing them. He also has a dark past, but, c'mon, that much was a given.
The other newbie is Ilanna, a European female in her late 20s to early 30s who possesses great intelligence, but who's also dangerous as all get out. She's alluring and apparently used to getting her own way.


I got this off of the Season 5 link for Lost on Wikipedia.

As far as the date for the season opening, I am estimating the date will be Thursday, January 29th, 2009- maybe sooner if there are any breaks between episodes. There are 17 episodes this year, so in order for the season to end by late May, the latest the season could start is Jan 29.

It also appears that we will not see Claire until season 6, and the status of Jin is unknown. The producers said that dead is a relative term LOL.

I've gone back and started watching LOST from season one forward at ABC.com. You can get full episodes with minimal commercial. I tried to get up to speed for season four and flew through them, now I'm taking my time and really getting everyone's back stories and loving it. It is giving me my much needed LOST fix!!!
