I'm pretty sure "Christian" was/is the smoke monster. As far as Clair goes, they had to save something for season six.

Hello everybody, I am back after a few weeks without a computer that works. Would have been back sooner but parenthood entails financial obligations that take priority over getting a new computer.
The last few episodes were crazy- I'll have more to say on them later.
For now, I will say this; Drew- you are most likely right about Man#2 being the smoke monster but I say this.

What about the monster that "attacked" Locke in the season 1 episode "Walkabout"?
I think that was Jacob- Locke said "I looked into the heart of this island and what I saw was beautiful."
This was the only monster encounter where it is seen only from its point of view entirely. Remember when Locke asks Mr. Eko what he saw? Eko said that is not what I saw- he saw his worst memories. And after Eko is killed, he tells Locke that he was next. I believe that the smoke monster's first potential loophole candidate was Eko, then he moved onto Locke.

Welcome back Darren. I'm going to have to re-watch that episode again, its been a while since I last watched it. Maybe they both take on the form of the monster for different purposes?

I need to catch up with it all but Drew I would love the spoilers if you still have them....

I estimate that the season premiere for season 6 will be January20 or 21, depending on whether they decide on Wednesdays or Thursdays. So as of WED or THU of this week, we will have gone past 6 out of the 36 weeks until season 6-I know it makes it seem longer but keep in mind it is only a month until Comic-Con 2009 and we should get a teaser video featuring our favorite Dr Marvin Candle/Pierre Chang ( his "real"name)/Edgar Halliwax/Dr.Wickmond?).
He changes his name for all the Dharma videos but the names are all related to candles ( wax and wick).

I still need to watch the last 3 eppys to catch up....

If I am right and January 20th is the date for the season 6 premiere, then as of today we have 200 days to go!! I know it sounds like a loooooooong time but we have already gone through 1/5 of the time.

Oh god, I am such a lost nerd

I've been filling my time with rewatching ALL seasons. Am on season four, only problem is...ABC doesn't have all of season five up for viewing on their website, only the last four or five of the season six.
