I liked Marlena and EJ's scene today. I rather enjoyed her taking Trent to task for his rude behavior. And like a true soap fan, I wondered if they would put those two together. Their first interaction is an argument? Sounds like a setup to me. But I love the secret he and Nicole have. I didn't see that coming. It's awesome.

The acting was very good, I agree, and I really liked today's show. Marlena, however, was bugging me a lot. I don't blame her for chewing EJ out for all his bribing and lying (and John was in cahoots about the bribe, so wait until she hears that if she hasn't already), but her taking it upon herself to scold everyone re cell phone use was irritating. Trent was wrong for jumping the line for coffee, so why not let the girl who should have been next say something herself? It was her call, or it was the java jockey's call if he saw what happened, not Marlena's. Then her snarking to EJ to use his cell phone outside.........shuddup lady! The town's new busybody. No wonder nuJohn wants to lose her.

Trent is a true creep. Nicole is probably zipping her lip so as not to lose her money from Victor, but I feel so sorry for her. It's like young people who want to get out of gang life, but the gang won't let you. Or the mafia, same thing. She's in this hole and can't get out. (And, no, she did not make that hole of her own accord.)

I don't feel sorry for Nicole, but Trent is becoming delightfully more creepy with each of his scenes with her.

I feel sorry for her to an extent, but if all she has to do to dump him is give back the money, then she is bringing this creep onto her. Divorce him and then you'll be free from all the creeps in your past. I like her, but she isn't making a good decision because it is blurred by her greed for the money.

I never really stopped enjoying Marlena just glad she's allowed have her spine back and telling people off who deserve it rather than be a doormat. Loved it when she told John off in the lab after he destroyed the disk what she said to him again at the mansion recently and finally telling Ava off at the shop. I did enjoy telling off rude Trent while Nicole secretly smirked then giving EJ a piece of her mind. I kind of wonder if they are heading for a possible romantic potential for Trent and Marlena since he seemed almost impressed with her spunk but I don't know.

That would be a great pairing to me. Two egotistical hacks.

Actuallly I prefer Marlena back with John they belong together but since he's with Ava I wouldn't mind seeing her with someone for a while just to give her something else to do rather than pine for John. By the way I don't think Marlena is egostical but she would be a good challenge for the jerk Trent.

It seemed to me that the writers (whoever they may be) were using Marlena as a plot tool to keep Sami in the picture even though she has not been onscreen. It didn't make sense for Marlena to come at EJ out of the blue like that.
I did like seeing James and Deidre toegther though, they have a lot of presence.
My Mister was watching and said, "Wow, Marlena is wearing her b!tch hat today, isn't she?!"
