There is something that has been bugging me:
Stefano was SO devoted to and enamored with his adopted daughter Kristin, that he went to extremes, to...dress up as Elvis (uh huh) and impregnate Susan thus creating EJ.
He loved Tony, although... his did deposit him on a deserted island for 20 years, (minor detail). He was a good father to Megan, René' and Bengy...okay, they all died as a result of his agents but still. Sure, he locked Lexie in a tunnel and starved her but stuff happens.

Where does EJ come off not loving an adopted child because it has to be a Dimera? Stefano NEVER imposed BLOOD or even compassion as a prerequisite for fatherhood.

Someone needs to slap EJ (just a little) back into reality.
AND yes, I'm up for that job!!!! (AS I will enjoy kissing his boo-boo's well & I'm pretty sure it will take me awhile to heal him)

I was kind of hoping Stephano would mention his adopted children to EJ when trying to make his point as to EJ accepting Sydney but I guess the writers would have had to delve into some Days history for that!

Maybe he's still trying to maintain some kind of distance from Sydney as to not get reattached to her? Because he doesn't want to interfere with her bio father and risk the pain/hurt again?

He hasn't even absorbed his loss over her yet but you can tell, by the way he was looking at her when Nicole brought her over, his heart melts...

Agreed. You can say a lot of things about Stephano but he was always a family man, especially hen it came to his kids... blood or not.

I think it has been made very plain (again today by Stephano) by both Nicole and Stephano that the only way he is going to get Sydney back in his life is IF HE TAKES THAT SLUT NICOLE BACK TOO and he is not about to do that.
The question should be why doesn't Stephano take Sydney away from Nicole and tell EJ the truth or put the hit out on Nicole if all else fails.

I think Stephano likes Nicole, he likes that she will pretty much do anything he says and feels she is the lesser of two evils because he does not want EJ to get back with Sami.

See, I don't get that because the explanation for the (forgive me for using this word) Vendetta and all the events of Brady vs Dimera that proceeded Colleen and Santo and preceeded the marriage of Sami and EJ including the conception of the twins, was that Stefano wanted EJ and Sami together as a family FOREVER!
And he was clear that Sami would pay for divorcing EJ.

So if 5 decades of murder, planning and lunacy is the point, how then can Stefano opt for Nicole over Sami simply because she is easier to manipulate?

I thought I read where Stefano didn't want EJ to know that he's known all along because EJ would turn on him.

Thus, Stefano puts up with Nicole. He knows he can control her but not too sure about Sami! LOL!
