Re: Chad ...get a grip!
knat, I think some are surprised about how composed EJ is acting but, it's like EJ said, had Chad "rather" him rant and rave? I think not, cause we've all seen the Ranting EJ! LOL!
I'm glad he's using composure cause can't you just HEAR the EJ Haters, if he went off on a Poor Little Teenage Boy that only wants his child back.....oh, I can hear it now, he'd be the Mean Evil EJ.
That's why I truly believe the EJ character will never win, The Spin will be adjusted as needed, to make him out Bad/Wrong/Evil, well, you know, The Dark Lord! LOL!
I've read the Haters saying that EJ just doesn't care about Sydney or else he'd be fighting for her. He's "trying" to do the right thing by Chad by backing off (cause he knows first hand what it feels like) and he gets blasted for that too!
I know, a game we could play is every scene that EJ's in, let's' guess how it's going to be SPUN! LOL!
What a Man What a Man What a VERY FINE MAN!

Re: Chad ...get a grip!
Oh, he's totally a brat. No question. But that's why I wasn't shocked at all by the way he's acting.
And the way he just burst into the DiMera mansion like that - totally confirms that to me. He is utterly clueless about who the DiMeras are (his dad shouldn't be though!!), and he just doesn't care because it's all about him.
I definitely don't care for Chad. Every time he has a slightly redeeming moment with me, he takes about 232432 steps backward. =)

Re: Chad ...get a grip!
LR - I probably don't fall into the EJ "hater" group you are referring to (since I LOVE EJ - just don't want him with Sami. And honestly, it's not that I HATE the idea of him with Sami, I've just wanted her with Lucas for like 15+ years now, and I still do). hehe And I prefer bad EJ - I think he does bad so, so, SO well!
But I for one would LOVE to see EJ go off on Chad. That would be so worth seeing!! That kid is stepping on some toes, that is for sure! I know EJ feels bad for him considering the whole Grace situation, but I think Chad is pushing him pretty far. I really want to see him react. It would be awesome!

Re: Chad ...get a grip!
I wouldn't have mind seeing EJ blow up at Chad either, however I understand why EJ was acting the way he was, he cannot help sympathizing to a point with Chad being that he knows first hand what it feels like to be kept from your child. I think EJ handled the situation with Chad just fine.

Re: Chad ...get a grip!
But yesterday EJ learned that Chad is not the father, yet he told Stefano he still didn't want Sydney. Don't get me wrong, please, I do believe he loves Sydney very much. Does he not believe Chad is not the daddy? Or is it that he still is uneasy about a child not his biological one? Or, a third option, that he thinks somehow that the "real" father will still show up, even though that supposed guy knows nothing about the baby? I want to know what he's truly thinking.

Re: Chad ...get a grip!
I'm pro Chad. He's just a kid, and everywhere he turns, almost everyone is against him. It isn't his fault that he was shipped off to middle of nowhere by his parents and couldn't contact Mia, and that she sold his baby while he was gone. He might be arrogant but that's not a reason to strip him of the rights he should have had. IMO, at this point in the story, he and Sydney are the only two blameless victims.
LG, he said it was the third one today (fearing that Mia's lying about there being several others and that eventually another boy will end up wanting Sydney). It's understandable, but he needs to take the baby back now that Chad is out of the picture, imo. He shouldn't let Sydney just twist in the wind, fatherless, while he waits for a boy who may never come.

Re: Chad ...get a grip!
LG, do you REALLY think that EJ would believe NICOLE about Chad not being the father, right off the bat???? LOL!
She's one of my favorite characters but I'm getting to where it makes me sick to watch her mouth move!
If EJ took Nicole's word, I would lose ALL respect for him. Maybe Mia will confirm Nicole's lie to EJ and he "may" have a change of heart but I can't blame him for not wanting to get mixed up with anymore of Nicole's possible schemes.
Give the man some time to digest what's going on around him. He's had to divide his attention with Stefano and Chad and I'm pretty sure his head must be spinning.
