I think everyone liked the board more when it was privately owned. No pop-ups, no ads for sheknows and an Admin that was around to actually take part in threads. Dustin loved DOOL just as much as us.

And now with the show sucking, people just aren't as into posting. I can completely understand.

If I thought someone would set up a site the way it use to be and all my friends (LUMI & EJAMI) were going there, I would leave and wouldn't come back.

Since I realize that they're setting EJami up for Ali's pregnancy leave, I'm curious as to how it's all going to play out so I'm not bored with the show. I do believe that EJami's the end game and we've had to take a detour via Nicole.

I said on another thread that it's not the same here anymore, that the regulars don't post any longer. It use to feel like we were sitting around a kitchen table discussing our points of view but now, sometimes I feel like I'm the only one at the table.

We've gone through dry spells before re this site and even at times, on HaloScan, esp when Dustin started monitoring each post, it took away the dynamics of being in the middle of a conversation. (I'm easily side tracked.)

I think that the current Admin's have catered to those whose feelings might easily be hurt, therefore everyone trying to be amiable and politically correct on all of their posts, has taken some of the spontaneity and passion away.

At least that's my point of view.

Both.
Sometimes after the show the last thing I want to do is Talk about the people I don't like and thats all I'm seeing on the show.
It used to be the Marlena show, then the Sami Show, Now it is the Nichole show. WTF can't TPTB figure out we want a well rounded show not just a single sl to bore us.
To be fair I have never been a fan of overkill..

I agree, except that I am getting bored with the show. None of my favorite characters are there anymore. The actors who play them are there, but they're now playing characters that I don't recognize, and don't really like.

I voted that it was the show. I havent even been watching it for a while now. I like to get on here and talk to people but there is nothing about the show I can talk about. Its lost much of my interest. I used to make sure I was home or awake so that I could watch, but now I dont even realize what time it is. Sad.

I voted for the show. It's boring and I used to not miss and episode and now I could care less. I haven't watched in about 2 weeks maybe longer. I'll read the days ahead thread, but that's as far as I go.. not even putting on the DVR.. till it gets good.. I'm not watching.

Both. The show is terrible right now.

As for this board, I have almost given up on having a civilized discussion here about any part of DOOL without it somehow morphing into an EJ vs. Lucas bashfest. There are other boards that actually discuss other SLs and the dreaded triangle without it turning nasty, and my guess is that posters have found their way to those sites.

There have been some comments about how the control of the admin is killing this site. It is the fan fighting that killed this site and drove a lot of the posters away.

I wonder where they went because I've been to soaps.com which has some of the meanest posters I have ever seen. Ditto the nbc and sony boards. Nothing remotely civilized about the posts on those boards.
