You don't leave them outside on a leash when you are away do you? I would be afraid something would come after them and they couldn't get away. Did Amy have a good birthday, party LOL????

No, we only put them out when we are home and wanting to get some nice air outside. We watch them like a hawk too, It's funny watching the cats chase flying bugs around trying to get them. The cats get a little jealous when we take the dogs for a walk down to the park. Its not far for Amy and I, but the pug pups with their little pudgy , it sure is!!!!
I made sure that Amy had a wonderful birthday- up early to make breakfast for her, sent flowers to work, birthday dinner etc etc.
The pets like me getting up early too-they got fed earlier!!!!!

I didn't think so, but had to ask LOL! I'm glad Amy had a good birthday, sounds like you did it up right!

Hello there minions-once again, sorry for neglecting the thread. But I do have a great excuse for that. Minion headquarters is or rather will be growing by one ( hopefully just one) around the end of March 2009. Amy and I are expecting a little one; she is about 9 weeks pregnant ( looks like the little visit to the honeymoon cottage worked out really great). We told my Mom today when she came down to visit us. And we called my Dad to let him know.
We are so happy right now, as her sister is also pregnant ( about 3-4 weeks ahead). I am also scared to death, but I now know about that saying for a guy , " you never know that you are ready to be a father until it happens".
I just wanted to let all of you know, as you are like an online family to me. It's going to be a huge change for both of us, but a welcome one. I just want to be as good a parent as my family was to me, and that was in difficult circumstances. Amy and I have a lot going for us.

Thank you everybody for the warm wishes. So far Amy is getting through the morning sickness ok. It's funny- we've already apologized to each other in advance; Amy to me- if she gets really bad mood swings and me to Amy- for being too overprotective. Luckily her older sister is also pregnant and will be a huge help. My little niece is doubly excited about being a big sister and cousin.
I'm looking forward to PAPA leave in about a year's time. Amy and I are going to split the maternity leave. Boy or girl- doesn't matter to me as long as they are healthy. My father-in-law is hoping for one of them to be a boy- he has 3 daughters and a grand-daughter already lol. My parents are looking forward to spoiling a grandchild. One thing for sure about my child-they are going to love animals. One thing I'm not looking forward to- having to clean ALL THE LITTERBOXES!!!! because Amy cannot do that now. I swear to God that the cats get my credit card and order donairs during the day- any Atlantic Canadians will get what I am talking about.
Anyways, I just wanted to thank everybody and hope that any of you who may be impacted by Hurricane Gustav are ok.
