Re: Minion Headquarters- Renovated and ready to go
Happy Birthday, AMY!!!!!! hope you recover quickly!! you, too, Darren!
cats just love being the owners of the house, the food and your soul. they just want attention and control and they get it by making you feed them. they are actually very smart creatures. they did make you get up, didn't they?! LOL!!

Re: Minion Headquarters- Renovated and ready to go
Figures- here in Nova Scotia, we finally get a nice beautiful morning to wake up to and of course, ITS ON A MONDAY!!!! And the cats didn't bother to get up until this morning until we were up. And the last one up was Tigger, casually sauntering into the kitchen in all his big glory and lets out a surprisingly meek meow.
Amy and I got some great news from her sister and my fellow BIL yesterday- they are expecting again. My little niece is somewhat excited; actually asking more questions than anything. Where is the baby now?? In Mama's belly. How did it get there?? UH, its just there?? Why would it be there?? Well, that is where you started. No I didn't.
Anyways, before too long it almost became a conversation about the birds and the bees. That little bugger is way too smart for her own good. And she only turned 4 in April.
We are glad for them, and both hoping to join them in the parenthood fraternity as well. I know my Mom would be happy- get a not so subtle hint every now and then from her that she wants to spoil a grandchild soon.
For now, Amy and I have our 10 really small kids; 8 cats ( 5 adults and 3 Kittens) and the 2 pug puppies. The house is crazy enough for now.

Happy Birthday to Amy!
Cats.....mine does the same thing, that's why we close him up in the downstairs playroom at night. He wakes us up during the night, then again early in the morning if we don't! Are your cats inside or out?

Re: Minion Headquarters- Renovated and ready to go
We got our house last fall, so we didn't have the chance to see how the cats would react to going outside until this summer. So, in June we tried them on leashes, of course. The dogs love being outside- we have a little pen for them during the day where they can go in and out through the doggy-door all day. They are kept separate from the cats when we are at work-no fighting allowed!!!!! Out of our 8 cats, well 5 as the kittens are still not big enough to be leashed, and they are too quick and unpredictable if they got loose. Tigger loves going outside ( We think its to get some peace and solitude); Sami likes it at first , then she'll get freaked out and bawl to get back in. The others never took to it. We don't really want them to be outside cats anyways- if they do get out, it is on a leash.

Re: Minion Headquarters- Renovated and ready to go
It worries me to have an outside cat. The one I feed came with the house. She is old (16)and just wants food and some love when she feels like it. I will cut up some chicken, tuna or something and give her a little milk if she seems needy.
Can't have an inside cat . My Grandson is allergic. Max (4) stays with me during the week so cats are a no go until we hope grows out of it.
My Birthday is the 23 and I hope Barry surprises me with a puppy. I have left enough hints . I am ready for another mini Doxy.
