Sami the evil cat is doing quite well. She is getting a little older, more mature- to make her get some exercise I will get out the laser pointer and have her chase the little red dot around. I trim all our cats claws ( except for the beebs, Ginga, Katey and Shady) and she is a bit of a handful. I let her sniff the clippers and make her comfortable. I'll be halfway done and she'll give a growl, then I stop and start up again. Its so funny watching her tail glow quickly back and forth. Then they all get a treat. Amy and I'll let them all go on a catnip bender and the pugs look at them like WTF is going on!!!!

Actually, I don't know if this is a good hint for you or not, but I have a large dog who hates when I cut her nails. She used to growl but she has since gotten over that. I now make sure her nails are wet when I cut them. It seems like the clipper goes through the nail much easier and quicker, plus I don't think it hurts near as much.

Hello everybody!!!! How are all of you??? I haven't been on here all that much-still miss the ole format I guess. Things are going well here at headquarters.
I am patiently ( not so patiently) waiting for football and hockey seasons to start already. LOST is still 5 and a half months away.
I am so lucky to have a wife like Amy. She is the best. Here is one prime example. Recently, I met or rather became reacquainted with an old girlfreind from high school who has moved back to NS. She was my date to my high school prom way way way back. Amy had me ask her over for dinner and treated her well- kinda surprising as Amy didn't like ( uhem HATED) my last girlfreind. Women I guess surprise you sometimes eh.
The pugs loved my old freind- they could tell she is a dog-lover!!!!
Oh well, must get some breakfast and get to work!!!

Oh boy, what a hangover today!!!! Amy and I are 2 hurting individuals today. One thing that has been established is that our puppies are smarter than our cats. We made sure that all food dishes were full, as we wanted to make sure that we could sleep in this morning but OH NO!!!!!!! Kitties have to SEE the food going in the dish in the morning -if not they think we are starving their poor little bodies. So after about 30 minutes of meowing and crying this morning, I ( Amy shouldn't have to as its her birthday celebration) went down and introduced kitty food to the kitties ( DUMB ASSES!!!). Meanwhile the pups had ate their food- after all it was in their dish;what a concept!!!! LOL- anyways back to hangover recovery.

They (The cats )just wanted to make you get up LOL Cats are like that.
