Hello everybody! Today marks the 28th birthday of the best lady in the world, my wife Amy. Why is she the best? Because she has managed to put up with me for this long that is why.
I can't believe it was four years ago today that I asked her to marry me when I took her out for her birthday dinner- don't think I've ever been that nervous and was able to hide it from her long enough to actually ask her!
It is only less than a month away until we switch roles and Amy goes back to work and I stay home to take care of Emma Grace Fiona fulltime; luckily my fellow BIL is doing the same so I'll have some company and support- and I may just get some time to start watching Days on a regular basis again!

Hello minions, hope all is going well down in the U.S.A. and those of you elsewhere in Canada. Here in Halifax we are securing everything as Hurricane Bill is making a visit on his way- looks he will still be a hurricane when he arrives tomorrow.
We are going to make due okay as I was commanded by Amy to get lots of nonperishable food, propane for the BBQ, and a generator for when the power inevitably goes off tomorrow.
Last time we had a hurricane in 2003, Amy and I were freinds and next door neighbors- went 2 or 3 days without power but it was definitely a memorable storm; that was Juan in September 2003.
