I got my downstairs cleaned this morning and made the trip to the store to stock up until Thursday. We leave for Memphis Thursday morning so I had to plan our dinners for the next three nights and get everything today. I'll tackle the upstairs and laundry tomorrow.

Okay I would have to say I wouldn't like it...sorry I am with Hops on this one..

I will be tackling the cleaning tomorrow sometime or another, we had to bump talking with the pool people until tomorrow morning so I don't know how my day is going to flow.....I want to get to the gym though sometime or another or at least go for a nice brisk walk/run..it just seems like one thing leads to another and all plans get changed which makes for a frustrating day....ARGH!!!!

It got really hot this afternoon, and hubby turned on the AC when he got home from work. He's taking a nap, which I would love to be able to do. I have to go back outside to hang the last load of laundry. I hurt my finger trying to clean that smoker, so typing is a bit painful. I'll check back in here later.

Wish I had a pool. Speaking of pools, the little pool that my in-laws have was the point of the first teenager-like blow-up the barely-eleven-year-old had today. I wouldn't let her go over and play in it, and she threw a tantrum. I got the usual barrage of "you can't make me/I want my real mom" stuff that all step-parents are treated to eventually. But I got her to calm down and we talked things over. She's grounded, but conditions aren't completely set until her father can weigh in on it. I think it went rather well, and I'm so glad I didn't lose my temper.

good for you Hops you held your ground and let her see you were the adult and that treating you like that wouldn't be tolerated.....Clapping like a crazy lady in your honor....standing your ground is the hardest thing to do, I wish my friend would do that her kids walk all over her and I hate it when I am there....

Actually, the hardest part was not yelling back. I can stand my ground, cause I'm ten times as stubborn as she is, but I have a hard time keeping my Irish temper in check during an argument.
