Re: Exercise/Fitness III
Wrangler, I'm sure you'll be fine. I think you're too hard on yourself. You look awesome!
I did not weigh in Sunday because I didn't want to know, but curiosity got the better of me this morning. No change, which is great because I was sure the cream cheese frosting on that carrot cake would be a disaster. I did get a bit of exercise this week, so that maybe helped. Now if I'd avoided the dessert entirely, I might've lost something. I'm still having trouble with willpower.
I wish NBC would show the Broncos more often. All that pacing and jumping up and down is good for me.

Re: Exercise/Fitness III
Thanks Hops, you so sweet for saying that! And you're right, we are harder on ourselves than anyone else is LOL! It's good that you maintained with the cream cheese frosting around!!! Funny about the football! I did okay also this week, considering the food and alcohol I consumed on my girls trip last weekend. Like Bay said, we did a lot of walking so I'm sure that helped.
We still have wonderful fresh vegetables right now, so I've been loading up on lots of tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and broccoli this past week. Made and egg & tomato omelet this morning and it was delicious. We went to have BBQ after the UT game yesterday, and I did break down and get onion rings with it. This place has the best, and I ate every one of them LOL!!!!! The dipping sauce was probably worse than the onion rings, but it's sooooo good!!!
Anyway, still maintaining, got to get my sprints in this week, was a bit of a slacker last week! Hope everyone has a great Labor Day! I think my goal this week is to plant a Fall garden, I have the spot ready to go. I've never done a Fall garden before so I'm not sure what to plant. Our high's now are around 80, but it will begin to cool off soon and get around 60 during the night. Any suggestions???

Re: Exercise/Fitness III
Alright last weekend I'm pretending didn't happen because it was my sister's wedding reception so I wasn't most concerned with my eating, but since 2 weeks ago I've lost 3 lbs! Wahoo!

Re: Exercise/Fitness III
That's awesome, Kate! Way to go!
Mandy, how about lettuce? I've heard it's a good Fall crop, and mine is starting to grow again. We mowed it down after it went to seed, but it's back.
I've been riding my bike again. Not too much, just a few miles here and there. I've been thinking about starting up the challenges again. Probably one at a time would be better.

Re: Exercise/Fitness III
I haven't grown broccoli in years. It grows well, but I didn't like having to wash out the tiny green bugs. You could probably grow just about anything in the Fall that you can grow in the early Spring, if it has a short enough growing season.
I've only driven us to church on Wednesday night, and got lost on the way back. Things look different in the dark, and we don't often take that way home. But I found my way to Walmart and got my bearings. I'll probably be driving us to church again tomorrow, but we're going to Walmart afterward, so I should be fine then.

Re: Exercise/Fitness III
I've been off the exercise wagon for awhile now, but I think I'll climb back on for a Thanksgiving or Christmas goal. I'd rather have a deficit going into the holidays so I don't completely undo this year's progress. I'm thinking five pounds by Christmas is conservative enough that I could meet the goal even if something comes up, like an injury or something. Anyone else have a pre-holiday goal?

Count me in! I have been eating on the run with the remodel project, and need something to get me back on track!

Re: Exercise/Fitness III
With the exception of the three pieces of chocolate I just ate, I've been doing really well with not snacking this week. I'm walking every day, and am only making desserts that I don't like, to keep me from eating them. I'll be weighing in on Mondays, I think.
