It's too easy to micro-analyse and be hyper-critical and forget that once upon a time we just used to turn on our TV's once a day and see what was happening on our soap.
I know I never used to worry about what the writers were going to eff up next, I just watched it unfold. Some days I threw things at the TV, some days I didn't.
EJami is "inevitable", just hold on to your britches and enjoy the ride.

I for one, don't watch the show any differently now then I ever did. I still rooted for the couples I liked and I still did something else until the couple I hated got off screen. I don't believe with the inception of soap chat rooms, that it changed the way I viewed the show at all. If it changed anything, it made me more aware of the writer's and how they are to blame for killing a good couple or the ratings.

Personally, I can't stand Nicole. Can't really think of a time I ever did like her. Maybe when she was first with Eric, but when she left him to be with little man, that did it for me, never liked her after that.

We all knew that when they brought her back to the show that she was going to be the proverbial pain in the arse. And she is, but I truly see no reason for her character to be on the show right now, unless they pair her with someone that she jives with. IMO that is not EJ, it never has been.

Since EJ walked on to the canvas, most every person that is an EJAMi wanted him with Sami. They just had chemistry. They still do as long as the writers doesn't f *uck it up. It's fine that they have angst and that they go through trials and tribulations, but for the writer's to show EJ with anymore then a passing fancy for Nicole, is ridiculous. However, I don't believe they are stupid enough to lose a whole fan base. EJAMI is endgame, no matter how much we dislike the road getting to it.

The only thing that makes me watch Days any differently is the DVR. Yes, I know we had tape, but I couldn't wait as long to watch what with everything else I taped. I'm a tv wh0re - WCIS.
