Oh wow. I just read a major rumour for the next Batman movie. Who knows if it's true or not. But it does explain a little something I wondered about.

Maggie Gyllenhaal (Rachel) signed up for TWO Batman movies. Right. So... Rachel Dawes dies in The Dark Knight - and in the next movie will be transformed at The Catwoman! Man oh man. BTW, Aaron Eckhart (Two-Face) also signed up for two movies. Originally the next Bat movie was going to be about a Joker/Two-Face team-up, but due to Heath being gone, that's been nixed. A Catwoman/Two-Face team-up perhaps? I wondered why Rachel's death was not given a lot of fanfare in The Dark Knight. So there you go.
